Palm Beach County (PBC)
AWARE & CARE Palm Beach County (PBC) is a community wide awareness campaign created collaboratively through the PBC Criminal Justice Commission’s School Safety Initiative and a Department of Justice funded, PBC School & Community Violence Prevention Project, initiatives which began in 2018 as part of a larger community wide effort to prevent school & community violence through improved collaboration and awareness.
The AWARE & CARE website provides critical information about warning signs and indicators which could signify a person is in crisis and in need of immediate intervention. The website also provides information about adverse life experiences which can have negative effects on a person’s health and well-being.
Contact information is provided to report suspicious & threatening behaviors, to help persons in crisis, to address mental health or substance use disorders, to obtain critical support services, and to learn about available community resources and support.
